In his sermon on Philippians 3:12-4:1, Pastor Jeremy emphasized the importance of our identity in Christ as a foundational theme in Paul's letter to the Philippians. He highlighted Paul’s call to rejoice in the Lord, framing the message around two pivotal verses: Philippians 3:1 and Philippians 4:4, both urging believers to rejoice in the Lord always.

Jeremy explained that the root of true joy comes from knowing Christ as it surpasses all earthly achievements and identities we may hold. He encouraged us to reflect on what we desire more than Christ.

Jeremy delved into Paul’s exhortation to press on in the faith, clarifying that this is not about earning salvation but "running a race" with Jesus to our Heavenly Father, as a response to the grace already bestowed upon believers. He emphasized the danger of complacency in running with Christ, likening complacency to stopping mid-marathon or building a house without a roof.

Each believer is called to pursue Christ wholeheartedly, recognizing that maturity in faith comes through this continuous effort. He concludes by urging us to stand firm in our identity as citizens of heaven, highlighting that our true purpose is found collectively in running toward the goal of knowing Christ.
